WhatBench, Inc. Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how WhatBench, Inc., and its related companies (“WhatBench,” “we” or “us”) collect, use and share personal information of users of its website at (the “Site”) and users of the service offered by WhatBench via the Site (the “Service”). The Site provides a venue for companies who provide technical consulting services to promote their services to prospective clients, and for prospective clients to locate and evaluate consulting companies and their personnel. This Policy also applies to any of our other websites that post this Policy. This Policy does not apply to websites that post different statements.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will handle your information in accordance with the version that was in place when you submitted it. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the Site and we will change the Last Updated date above. We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use posted on the Site.

As used in this policy, the terms “using” and “processing” information include using cookies on a computer, subjecting the information to statistical or other analysis and using or handling information in any way, including without limitation collecting, storing, evaluating, modifying, deleting, using, combining, disclosing and transferring information within our organization or among our affiliates.

Like many websites, we use “cookies” to collect information. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer’s hard disk for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies for two purposes. First, we utilize persistent cookies to save your registration ID and login password for future logins to the Site. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all portions of the Site or all the functionality of the Service.


If you choose to refer us to another potential user of our Site or Service, and provide us with the potential user’s name and email address, we may send the potential user an email inviting him or her to visit the Site. WhatBench stores this information for the sole purpose of sending such email and tracking the success of any such referral program. Any such potential user of the Site may contact us at to request that we remove this information from our database.


Identity theft and the practice known as “phishing” are of great concern to WhatBench. We make it a priority to safeguard your Personal Information to help protect you from identity theft. We do not and will not, at any time, request your credit card information, your account ID, or login password in a non-secure or unsolicited e-mail or telephone communication.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Other than as described in this section, WhatBench does not rent or share information about you with third parties without your consent.

Posting Reviews and Résumés. Any Reviews posted to the Site will be accessible to all WhatBench Users. In addition, when you post a Résumé to the Site, your Résumé will be accessible to all WhatBench Users unless the associated Consulting Company elects to restrict such access to WhatBench Users approved by such Consulting Company. Even if the associated Consulting Company elects to restrict access, your Résumé will be accessible to WhatBench Users it approves. Therefore, we encourage you to think carefully about what information about yourself and others you disclose in your Reviews and Résumés. We are not responsible, to you or others, for any personally identifiable information you choose to submit in a Review or Résumé and will not treat such information as Personal Information for the purpose of this Privacy Policy.

Aggregate Information and Non-Identifying Information. We may share aggregated information that does not include Personal Information and we may otherwise disclose Non-Identifying Information and Log Data with third parties for industry analysis, demographic profiling and other purposes. Any aggregated information shared in these contexts will not contain your Personal Information.

Service Providers. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf and to perform Site-related services (“Service Providers”). The types of Service Providers we use include, without limitation, service providers that provide the following types of services: credit card transactions, accounting, customer relationship management, webcasting, website maintenance, database management, web analytics and web and live chat hosting. Our Service Providers have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement. WhatBench cooperates with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We will disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including without limitation subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of WhatBench or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop activity we consider to be illegal or unethical. WhatBench may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including your Personal Information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy.

All WhatBench registered users may review, update, correct or delete the Personal Information in their registration profile by logging into their account and following the instructions on the Site. If you completely delete all such information, then your account will become deactivated.


WhatBench takes seriously the safeguarding of your information. We employ generally-accepted, industry-standard administrative, physical and electronic measures designed to protect your Personal Information submitted to us from unauthorized access. However, no method of electronic data storage is 100% secure and we therefore cannot guarantee its absolute security.
